About
A European company, built to operate where others will not.
Shard Soft EOOD is registered in Bulgaria, inside the EU, with engineering in Sofia and offices in Damascus and Aleppo.
Most software companies pick one of two positions: cheap and far away, or close and expensive. We are neither. We are an EU entity you can contract with under EU law, with a delivery base in a market most vendors have written off — which is exactly why we understand the constraints that market imposes.
That combination shows up in the work. Building for this region forced us to be good at things that turn out to matter everywhere: right-to-left interfaces that were designed rather than mirrored, applications that stay usable on a bad connection, and automation that substitutes for headcount because headcount was never available.
Where an engagement needs a local contracting entity in Syria, we establish one. It is a routine step, and we would rather tell you that plainly than imply a structure we do not yet have.
How we are set up
A deliberately small senior team, heavily automated. We do not staff projects by adding bodies; we automate the parts of delivery that do not need judgement and keep the people on the parts that do. It is the reason a company this size ships and operates a commercial SaaS alongside national-scale platforms.
